2. This application for anticipatory bail arises out of Mahua P.S. Case No. 912 of 2025 for the offence punishable under Sections 103(1), 238 & 3(5) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita.
3. The case of the prosecution is that the daughter of the informant was married with co-accused Rambali Singh in the year 2014 and after marriage, her daughter was blessed with three sons. It has been alleged that for the last one year, her daughter was being tortured by her husband and in-laws so as to part with Rs. Two lakhs for the purpose of starting business and five days ago, the daughter of the informant had called on mobile phone that all the accused persons including the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20245 of 2026(2) dt.08-04-2026 2/3 petitioners have assaulted her and threatened to kill her. It has been further alleged that, on 08.09.2025, at 09:00 AM, the informant got an information on her mobile that her daughter has been killed. On this information, when the informant along with other family members reached to the matrimonial house of her daughter, the house was found locked and all the accused persons had absconded from there. The informant has thus full suspicion that her daughter has been done to death and her dead body has been disposed of.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners happen to be the father-in-law and motherin-law respectively of the deceased and they used to reside separately from the deceased and her husband and have got no concern with their day-to-day affairs. Moreover, it has been stated in paragraph 12 of the petition that the husband of the deceased is in custody since 19.11.2025 and the petitioners have got no criminal antecedents.
5. Learned counsel for the State opposed the prayer of anticipatory bail of the petitioners.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances, let the petitioners above named, in the event of their arrest/surrender within six weeks from today in the Court below, be released on
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20245 of 2026(2) dt.08-04-2026 3/3 bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M., Vaishali at Hajipur, in connection with Mahua P.S. Case No. 912 of 2025, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita.
