Petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 304(B), 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

It is a case of dowry death.

Petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the case. It is submitted that thrust of accusation is against the husband of the deceased, who is in custody. Petitioner is separate from the deceased in mess and business. Petitioner has got clean antecedent.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21736 of 2022(2) dt.05-09-2022 2/2 informant opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail and submitted that petitioner is named in the FIR and there is direct and specific allegation that he along with other accused persons killed the daughter of informant for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.

Considering the facts of the case, nature of accusation and clean antecedent of the petitioner, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest/ surrender within a period of six weeks from today shall be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-V, Jamui in connection with Chakai PS case No.23/ 2021, subject to conditions laid down u/s 438(2) of the Cr. P. C. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) BKS/- U T
