2. This application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed by the petitioner for quashing the first information report (for short 'the FIR') of Aurai P.S. Case No.64 of 2002 registered on 13.07.2002 under Sections 406, 409 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. The FIR was registered on 13th July, 2002 in which the petitioner is named as the sole accused.
4. According to the prosecution case, while working as Panchayat Sewak, apart from severe irregularities in execution of work under certain government schemes, the petitioner is alleged to
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.13347 of 2017 dt.30-01-2018 2/2 have defalcated Rs.17,600/-. The allegations made in the FIR do attract ingredients of a cognizable offence.
