JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 25-02-2023 Though the present writ petition was filed for grant of ex gratia monetary compensation to the tune of Rs. 4,00,000/- on account of death of the husband of the petitioner due to Covid-19 Infection, but the learned counsel appearing for the State Health Society, Bihar, Patna, has submitted that it has been found, upon enquiry, that the husband of the petitioner had died on account of Covid-19 infection, hence, the petitioner is entitled for receiving payment of ex gratia amount to the tune of

Patna High Court CWJC No.5932 of 2022(5) dt.25-02-2023 2/2 Rs. 4,00,000/-.

In such view of the matter, it is directed that the District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur, shall ensure payment of the aforesaid ex gratia amount of a sum of Rs. 4,00,000/- to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today, failing which he shall not draw his salary.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
