The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 9, 10 and 11 of the Child Marriage Prohibition Act, 2006.

Petitioner is alleged to have participated in the marriage of a minor girl.

It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that entire prosecution case is false and concocted. Petitioner never participated in the alleged marriage. As a matter of fact, petitioner is Sarpanch of the said Gram Panchayat and only with a view to tarnish his image, the opponent members of said panchayat have implicated petitioner in the present case. Petitioner has got clean antecedent.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.
