2. The Branch Manager, Punjab National Bank, Goraia Sathan, Maner, Patna .... .... Respondents ====================================================== Appearance :
For the Petitioner/s : Mr. Arvind Prasad Singh For the Respondent/s : Mr. Kumar Priya Ranjan ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE KISHORE KUMAR MANDAL ORAL ORDER 15-09-2015 Heard both parties.
On a vague pleadings the writ application has been filed seeking mandamus upon the respondent-Bank to open account under Kishan Credit Card scheme.
Mr. Kumar Priya Ranjan who has appeared on behalf of the respondent-Punjab National Bank has rightly pointed out that prayer itself has now become infructuous as the application was filed in 2009. An application filed in any year for opening such account of Kishan Credit Card, the same cannot be granted in the next financial year effective from 1st of April of the next year.
Patna High Court CWJC No.14967 of 2011 (2) dt.15-09-2015 2/2 The writ application in view of above is dismissed as having become infructuous.
Dismissal of this application shall, however, not preclude the petitioner from applying afresh if the scheme survives before the appropriate/competent authority for grant of Kishan Credit Card and/or for opening the account under the said scheme.
