It is the petitioner's case that in the birth certificate issued by the Directorate of Statistics and Evaluation, Government of Bihar, India, her date of birth has been erroneously recorded as 15.09.1998 in place of 01.04.1997. The petitioner is said to have approached the Registrar, Birth and Death, Patna Municipal Corporation, Patna for making

Patna High Court CWJC No.9912 of 2021(3) dt.04-03-2022 2/2 necessary correction in the date of birth invoking Section 15 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969. This writ application has been filed seeking direction to respondent No. 3 to make correction in respect of the petitioner's date of birth in the said birth certificate issued on 06.05.2005.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ application is disposed of with an observation that let a decision be taken on the petitioner's application for making necessary correction in the date of birth, copy of which has been brought on record by way of Annexure-6 to the writ application within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
