Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 387/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation is that one Murari Das produced a letter before the informant wherein there was demand of ransom. Murari Das was apprehended by the people thereat, he disclosed that the letter was given by the petitioner and co-accused Pintu Bind and Pradeep Bind.

Submission of the petitioner is that the petitioner is in custody since 23.02.2016 and he has got no criminal antecedent.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.48867 of 2016 (2) dt.22-12-2016 2/2 The learned court below shall verify from the case diary whether there is mention of any criminal antecedent of the petitioner. If no criminal antecedent would be there, the court below shall accept the bail bond of the petitioner on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Munger/Successor Court in connection with Kharagpur (Sampur O.P.) P.S. Case No. 37 of 2016. If there would be any criminal antecedent, the court below shall not accept the bail bond and submit a report to this Court for reference in this case.
