Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.
The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Chandi P.S. Case No. 115 of 2018 lodged under Sections 304(B), 201/34 of the I.P.C.
As per the prosecution case, the allegation was the demand of dowry and thereafter murder and to remove the dead body.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent. He further submits that his wife has committed suicide for which he is not responsible at all. He further submits that petitioner is in custody since 17.09.2021
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.22256 of 2022(3) dt.03-08-2022 2/2 having clean antecedent. Charge sheet has already been filed, as such he may be granted bail.
Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that it is a case of dowry death. Petitioner is husband. His wife was residing with him at her sasural from where she was died and her dead body was removed by the petitioner and no information was given to her family. In the present facts and circumstances and the submissions made above, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
The trial is directed to conduct the trial as expeditiously as possible.
