In this case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Balthar P.S. Case No. 57 of 2016 registered for offences under sections 47(A)/57 of the Bihar Excise (Amendment) Act, 2016.

As per allegation, illegal Nepali wines have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner which was kept in the Maruti vehicle in which the petitioner was occupant. The petitioner is in judicial custody since 28.8.2016. Looking to the period of custody and the entire facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, namely, Ranjan Kumar, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-
