2. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the Jai Prakash University, Chapra. The same is taken on record.

3. The petitioner, who superannuated on 28.02.2009 from the post of Reader in the Department of Mathematics from J.P.M. College, Chapra has invoked the jurisdiction of this Court seeking a direction upon the respondents to ensure payment of group insurance with 12.5 % compound interest.

3. Learned Advocate for the petitioner contended that identically situated employees of the University approached before this Court in CWJC No. 11955 of 2022 which came to be

Patna High Court CWJC No.6177 of 2024(3) dt.22-10-2024 2/3 disposed of on 10.05.2023 with a direction to the Registrar, J.P. University to look into the grievance of the petitioner and make payment of all the admitted retiral dues i.e., group insurance with the applicable rate of interest.

4. Learned Advocate for the University drawing the averments made in the counter affidavit has contended that all the admissible amount has been paid to the petitioner. The particulars of the payment under different heads including the group insurance have been duly mentioned in paragraph no. 5 of the counter affidavit.

5. At this juncture, learned Advocate for the petitioner contended that the payment of group insurance have been made only to the extent of Rs. 61,551/- though the petitioner as per his calculation is entitled to get an amount of Rs. 2,30,277/- under the group insurance with compound interest.

6. Be that as it may, considering the fact that a counter affidavit has been filed suggesting the payment of all the admissible dues, if the petitioner has any grievance, he shall approach before the Registrar, Jai Prakash University, Chapra by filing a representation. In case, such representation is filed, the respondent-Registrar of the University shall be under obligation to consider the subject claim of the petitioner and in case, any amount is found due, the same shall be paid to him preferably within a

Patna High Court CWJC No.6177 of 2024(3) dt.22-10-2024 3/3 period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order in accordance with law.

7. The writ petition stands disposed off.
