The petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 406/409/420 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3(c)/7(1)(a)(ii)/9(i)(ii) of the EC Act.

As per the prosecution case, informant raided the shop of the petitioner and found that he was storing and selling the fertilizer and other essential commodities on higher price. Petitioner is licensee dealer issued by District Agriculture Officer and none of the beneficiaries has ever made any complaint against him. However, his licence has already been suspended. Petitioner claims clean antecedent.

In the event of arrest/surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioner, mentioned above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Judicial Magistrate 1st class Darbhanga in Singhwara Police Station Case No. 282 of 2022, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
