Mr.Sheo Shankar Prasad,SC-8 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH ORAL ORDER 24-09-2020 Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the matter is being taken up by way of virtual Court proceeding.

The matter has been listed under the heading 'For Orders' under the orders of Hon'ble the Chief Justice. Heard both parties.

The following reliefs have been sought for on behalf of the petitioner in the present writ application :

1. For issuance of an appropriate writ(s), rule(s), order(s) and direction(s) commanding the respondents to give following reliefs to the petitioner who is widow of

Patna High Court CWJC No.7160 of 2019(6) dt.24-09-2020 2/3 Constable late Jay Kumar Singh, died in harness while in active service in the year 2007.

A. To pay the arrears of pension with statutory as well as penal interest of an admitted amount of Rs.8,68,356/- (Rupees Eight Lakhs Sixty Eight thousand three hundred fifty six), the amount of arrears of pension for the period 4.3.2007 to September 2012 which has not been paid till date after lapse of about 12 years of death of the government employee.

B. To direct the respondents to revise the pension, gratuity and other admissible post retiral benefit to the petitioner after properly grant of A.C.P. and fixation of pay in proper scale to the deceased government employee.

C. To pay exemplary cost of compensate the heavy expenses, hardships, harassment and mental agony suffered by the petitioner in pursuing the matter for redressal of her rightful claims before this Hon'ble Court.

On behalf of the petitioner, it has been submitted that most of the grievances of the petitioner has already been redressed. If any of the grievances is still to be redressed by the respondents, the petitioner will be at liberty to make a

If any such representation is filed by the petitioner before the Respondent No.4, the same shall be disposed of in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of filing of such representation.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
