1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That the present writ application has been filed for a direction to the respondents to transfer the arms license bearing License No. 708 1966 of D.B.B.L. Gun No. 3157 in favour of the petitioner from his grandfather Ram Nagina Tiwari.

For further direction to the respondents to dispose of the application of the petitioner, which is pending for so many years."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.5728 of 2024(2) dt.27-06-2024 2/2 submits that despite the petitioner having applied for transfer of arms license long back, the same has not yet been disposed off by the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram and the same is still pending consideration.

3. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid application has been filed and is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram, to consider the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner, for transfer of arms license in his name, in case the same has been filed and is still pending consideration and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
