The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Siwan Mufassil P.S. Case No. 72 of 2020 dated 13.02.2020 instituted for the offence under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. 396.900 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that such recovery has wrongly been shown from him. He is a person of clean antecedents and is in custody since 14.02.2020.

Considering the aforestated facts and the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.25941 of 2020(2) dt.12-10-2020 2/2 period of custody of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge II cum Special Judge, Excise Act, Siwan in connection with Siwan Mufassil P.S. Case No. 72 of 2020.
