The petitioner, who is in custody since 25.01.2020 and is a person of clean antecedents, seeks bail in connection with Chanpatia (Sirisia O.P.) P. S. Case No. 41 of 2020 dated 24.01.2020 instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) and 30 (b) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

It appears that 30 litres of liquor has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner. However, regard being had to the period of custody and the clean antecedents of the petitioner, he is directed to

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20636 of 2020(2) dt.23-06-2020 2/2 be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Excise Act, West Champaran at Bettiah in connection with Chanpatia (Sirisiya O.P.) P. S. Case No. 41 of 2020. The petition stands allowed.
