The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That, this is an application for issuance of writ(s) / order(s) / direction(s) on the respondents to issue joining letter for the post of constable (RPF) to the petitioner who has qualified in written test and also in physical test and the final result of the petitioner was published bearing roll no. 2113306001 for the post of Constable (R.P.F.) against the employment notice no. 01/0011 and the petitioner was directed to appear for viva-voce and document

Patna High Court CWJC No.21199 of 2014(2) dt.10-08-2023 2/3 verification which the petitioner appeared in viva-voce and all his documents were verified and finally was assured by the respondents that the joining letter will follow him at his residence but the respondents are not issuing joining letter even after contacting to them."

The learned counsel for the respondents has submitted, by referring to the counter affidavit filed in the present case, that during verification of the certificates and other documents of the petitioner it was detected that his left thumb impression on the application form, PET/TMT sheet and on the verification sheet did not match with his L.T.I. on his O.M.R. sheet, which is apparent from the report dated 24.06.2014, hence on account of such mismatch, there was no occasion to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment, inasmuch as the same smacks of use of unfair means. It is also submitted that in any view of the matter, the selection process in question pertains to the employment notice of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.21199 of 2014(2) dt.10-08-2023 3/3 year 2011, which has already stood completed long back, hence nothing survives for consideration in the present writ petition.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court finds that the present writ petition is devoid of any merit, hence stands dismissed.
