At the outset, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the anticipatory bail application of the petitioner No. 2 (Manish Sahni) and petitioner No. 5 (Saukhi Sahni) have already been withdrawn vide order dated 18.05.2026. He further submits that he is now pressing the anticipatory bail application only on behalf of the remaining petitioners, namely petitioner Nos. 1, 3, 4, 6 and 7.

3. The petitioners apprehend their arrest in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21298 of 2026(5) dt.13-07-2026 2/3 connection with Katra P.S. Case No. 1 of 2026 registered for the offences punishable under sections 126(2), 115(2), 117(2), 109, 74, 352, 351(2), 351(4) & 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

4. The main submissions advanced by petitioners' counsel are that among the petitioners, there is no specific allegation against Rajan Sahni @ Rajan Kumar (petitioner No.

6) and Gonu Sahni @ Sandeep Kumar (petitioner No. 7), though two persons sustained grievous injuries as per their injury reports, the said two petitioners are not specifically alleged to have caused those injuries and an incident of free fight took place between both the parties in which petitioner Ranjeet Sahni (petitioner No. 3) also sustained a grievous injury and in this regard, the Investigating Officer's conclusion made by him in paragraph No. 42 of the case diary is relevant.

On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the informant submits that there is serious allegation against the petitioners who firstly misbehaved with the informant's daughter and then on objection made by the informant's wife, all of them badly assaulted the prosecution party injuring four persons and they were treated at SKMCH, Muzaffarpur.

6. Learned APP appearing for the State also opposes the prayer of the petitioners.

7. Considering the seriousness of the allegation and

No.21298 of 2026(5) dt.13-07-2026 3/3 taking note of the specific role of the petitioners, namely Sanjeet Sahni (petitioner No. 1), Ranjeet Sahni (petitioner No. 3) and Karan Kumar (petitioner No. 4), this Court is not inclined to grant them the relief of anticipatory bail. Accordingly, their prayer stands rejected.

As far as the prayer of petitioners, namely Rajan Sahni (petitioner No. 6) and Gonu Sahni (petitioner No. 7), is concerned, there is no specific allegation against them in the FIR and they have fair and clean antecedent, so, in my opinion, they deserve to the relief of anticipatory bail. Accordingly, let the petitioner Nos. 6 & 7, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned trial court within a period of six weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court concerned in connection with Katra P.S. Case No. 1 of 2026, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.
