JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 31-10-2017 The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to make the payment of compensation in respect of land and building being L.A. No. 46A, Khesra No. 1774, total area 2 decimals which is published in Hindustan Times on 05.07.2006 and 06.07.2006 which has been acquired by the Government.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the land in question was divided in two equal parts of one decimal each with building between the petitioners who are own brothers, which was thereafter acquired by the Government in the year 2006. It is submitted that despite lapse of several years, the petitioners have not received the amount of compensation as yet, for which a representation has also been filed under Registered receipt dated 06.11.2014 (Annexure-2).

3. Learned counsel for the respondents appears and has been heard.
4. Having regard to the nature of the grievance of the petitioner, this Court directs the District Land Acquisition Officer, Madhubani (respondent no. 3) to consider and dispose of the aforesaid representation, if still pending, expeditiously and in any event within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this judgment. The amount found payable to the petitioners, if any, shall be paid to the petitioners within a further period of four weeks thereafter.
5. The writ petition stands allowed.
