2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Naubatpur P.S. Case No. 54 of 2026 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c), 21(b) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, there is recovery of 160 packet of smack in small packets which indicates that the petitioner is a drug peddler.

4. The petitioner is in custody since 26.01.2026.

5. Considering the huge recovery and also the fact that the petitioner appears to be a drug peddler, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, the application stands dismissed for

7. If the trial is delayed by the persecution, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.

8. It is, however, clarified that the observations made herein are limited to the adjudication of the present bail application and shall not prejudice the case of the petitioner at any subsequent stage of the trial and this Court has not express any opinion on the merits of the case.
