The petitioner being the father of the husband of the informant is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 494, 323, 341, 376, 379, 307, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The basic accusation is of torture and performing second marriage by the husband of the informant. It is alleged against the father of the husband of the informant that he ravished the informant.
The matter was adjourned on behalf of the petitioner on 30.11.2015, 15.12.2015, 10.03.2016 and 28.04.2016. Today also neither the counsel for the petitioner nor the petitioner is appearing. However,
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.42716 of 2015 (7) dt.27-06-2016 learned counsel for the informant is present. Considering the nature of accusation and the conduct of the petitioner, this court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner in connection with Mahila (Nawada) P.S. Case No. 20 of 2015, pending in the court of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Nawada. Accordingly, the anticipatory bail application stands dismissed.
