2. The petitioner, who is the husband of the deceased, seeks bail during the pendency of the Trial in connection with Belaganj P.S. Case No. 318 of 2018 (G.R. No. 7283 of 2018, S.Tr. No 289 of 2022) instituted for the offences under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, primarily on the ground that despite his remaining in jail for about five years, the Trial has not yet been concluded.

3. This Court had called for a report about the stage of the case.

4. Mr. J.P. Singh, the learned Advocate has informed this Court that I.O. is only left to be examined.

5. If this be the situation, this Court directs the Trial Court to conclude the Trial positively within four months, failing which the petitioner shall have the liberty to approach the Trial Court for grant of bail during the pendency of the Trial.

6. The Trial Court, in that event, shall record the reasons for tardy progress of Trial.

7. The prayer for bail is rejected.
