1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That the petitioner has come up before this Hon'ble Court for issuance of writ/writs in the nature of Certiorari to set aside the order dated vide Memo no.4403/Arms, dated 20.12.2022 passed by learned District Magistrate, Patna relating to his application for obtaining of the Licence of one N.P.Bore Rifle for his personal safety alongwith his family members and in the nature of mandamus direction has been given to the authority to issued licence in favour of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.6692 of 2023(2) dt.30-10-2023 2/2 petitioner."

2. After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to file an appeal, challenging the order dated 20.12.2022, passed by the District Magistrate, Patna, whereby and whereunder, the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license has been rejected. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. It is needless to state that in case appropriate appeal is filed, before the appellate authority, within a period of four weeks from today, the appellate authority shall examine the same on merits and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
