In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Dumraon P.S. Case No. 31 of 2018, registered for the offence under Sections 341, 323, 504, 506 and 353 of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant is the Circle Officer of Simri Block. After discharging his official duty, while he was coming out from the office, the petitioner and others intercepted him and started abusing and scuffled with him.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it is the informant, who has slapped the petitioner. He further submits that the petitioner had gone before the office for

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21299 of 2019(2) dt.05-04-2019 2/2 redressal of his grievance, but instead of redressal of his grievance, the informant slapped him.

As the petitioner has criminal antecedents, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the Court below within three weeks from today and prays for regular bail, the Court below will consider the same and pass appropriate order on the same day without being influenced by the order of this Court.
