The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Case No. C2/94/2020 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. It appears from the First Information Report that 168 litres of Nepali liquor was found from the possession of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.25969 of 2020(2) dt.13-10-2020 2/2 the petitioner.

The petitioner denies that he was carrying any liquor with him and submits that he has wrongly been made accused in this case.

The petitioner is in custody since 05.02.2020 and claims to be a person of clean antecedents.

Regard being had to the aforesaid facts, the petitioner above-named is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.D.J.-II-Cum-Special Judge, Sitamarhi in connection with Case No. C2/94/2020. The application stands allowed.
