2. The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 302, 201, 120(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. It is alleged that sister of the informant was married with co-accused Pramod Das in the year 2011 and from the wedlock, two children were born and thereafter, all the accused persons including these petitioners started committing torture to sister of informant due to non-fulfillment of demand of Rs. 2 lacs and one motorcycle, as dowry, and on 20.05.2023, the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24351 of 2024(3) dt.13-05-2024 2/3 informant received an information that accused persons have killed his sister and disposed her dead-body.
4. It is submitted on behalf of petitioners that petitioners are Gotini of the deceased and they are separate in mess & property and have got no concern with the affairs of deceased & her husband. There is general & omnibus allegation of demand of dowry & committing torture against these petitioners and no specific overt act has been alleged against them. It is further submitted that informant is not eye-witness to the occurrence. Thrust of the allegation is against husband of the deceased, who is already in custody, as per statement made in paragraph - 2 of the supplementary affidavit. Petitioners are ladies and have got clean antecedent.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the bail petition.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the above named petitioners, in the event of their arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Masaurhi, District - Patna in connection with Masaurhi P.S.
