The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Darauli P.S. Case No. 220 of 2019, dated 27.12.2019, instituted for the offence under Section 414 of the Indian Penal Code.

On secret information that the petitioner has

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.25989 of 2020(2) dt.14-10-2020 2/3 kept stolen vehicles in his house, a raid was conducted. The petitioner allegedly tried to escape on one vehicle, but was apprehended. Two vehicles are said to have been recovered from the house of the petitioner, which are alleged to be stolen vehicles.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that both the vehicles have been purchased by him on valid consideration and when he offered the documents of the ownership of those two vehicles to the police officers, the same was snatched and thrown away. Only because the petitioner does not have good antecedents, he has been made accused in this case. The petitioner is in custody since 28.12.2019. Considering the nature of accusation against the petitioner and his period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-III, Siwan in connection with Darauli P.S. Case No. 220 of
