The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Motipur P.S. Case No.191 of 2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 341, 342, 316, 498A/304B of the Indian Penal Code.
A report was called for by this Court vide order dated 13.01.2023 in response whereof the learned 7th Additional District & Sessions Judge, Muzaffarpur has submitted a report dated 22.08.2022 wherein it has been stated that only one nonofficial witness is required to be cross-examined although he has already examined on behalf of the prosecution and, thereafter the investigating officer and the doctor are remaining to be examined, hence, the trial would be concluded within three months.

No.22637 of 2022(4) dt.02-02-2023 2/2 In view of above, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail in case the trial is not concluded within a period of six months from today. Liberty so sought is granted.
The learned trial court is directed to ensure conclusion of the trial within three months from today and it shall be obliged to send a weekly report to the Registrar General of this Court with regard to the progress of the trial.
