The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Sikraul P.S.Case No.55 of 1997 registered for offences punishable under Sections 25(1-B),26 and 35 of the Arms Act. This case is for misuse of bail for 16 years. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that he was suffering from mental diseased as such he could not appear and he has himself appeared on 29.6.2018 and since then he is in custody.

Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, as stated above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage, however, the learned trial court is

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.73945 of 2018(2) dt.17-12-2018 2/2 directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of six months, if not concluded the petitioner is at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.

With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
