The writ application seeks a direction upon the respondent particularly the Patna Municipal Corporation to dispose of the pending case before it expeditiously. It is stated that the Vigilance case no. 72 B of 2012 was initiated on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner which is still pending. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent wherein the factum of pendency of the case since 2012 has not been denied. It has, however, been stated that another vigilance case No. 62B of 2012 is pending against the petitioner in which he has not appeared. However, he has not objected to the
Patna High Court CWJC No.2710 of 2013 (3) dt.06-01-2016 2/2 disposal of the case by directing the concerned authority of the Corporation for quick disposal of the Vigilance case no. 72 B of 2012.
Considering the above, the application is allowed. The respondent-Executive officer-cum Municipal Commissioner respondent no.2 is directed to take steps for disposal of the vigilance case no. 72 B of 2012 pending on his file, if not already disposed, as quickly as possible preferably within ten weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order before him.
