2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Gardanibagh P.S. Case No. 718 of 2024 instituted for the offences under Sections 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 112(2) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Section 10/11 of the B.S.P. Examination Prohibition Act.

3. As per prosecution case, the accusation against the petitioner is that he with the help of other accomplices, tried to get job by committing forgery by editing the roll number of some another successful woman candidate.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence as alleged

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20858 of 2025(3) dt.15-05-2025 2/3 against him and has falsely been implicated in the present case. He further submits that nothing incriminating has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner. The petitioner has no concern with the alleged occurrence. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and is languishing in judicial custody since 27.12.2024 without any rhymes or reason. Charge-sheet has been submitted against the petitioner and other co-accused namely Suraj Kumar.

5. On the other hand, learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner, stating that the offence alleged is serious in nature. The petitioner was caught outside the examination center with forged admit card. The Investigating Officer, after completion of investigation, has submitted charge-sheet against the petitioner for offence under Sections 318(4)/338/336(3)/340(2)/ 112(2) of the B.N.S. Act and Section 10/11 of the B.S.P. Examination Prohibition Act.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the nature and gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner, above named, is rejected with a direction to the court below to

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20858 of 2025(3) dt.15-05-2025 3/3 expedite the trial and conclude the same expeditiously preferably within a period of six months from today. If the trial is not concluded within the period of six months as stated above, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer before the court below which will be disposed of on its merit without being prejudiced by this order.
