Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Palanwa (Bhelahi O.P.) P.S. Case No. 39 of 2016 registered under Sections- 306/201 of the Indian Penal Code.
Informant, who is Chowkidar, came to know that Bahu of Chattu Das has committed suicide. He reached there and found the dead body lying in the Angan. It is further alleged that deceased used to talk with other persons on which her mother-in-law and father-in-law objected and provoked her that why you do not die.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. There is no
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.53973 of 2016 (3) dt.14-02-2017 2/2 any cruelty or harassment to the deceased soon before her death.
Learned Addl. P.P. appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there is allegation that they used to tease the deceased and used to ask him why you do not die.
Considering the nature of allegations levelled and the submissions of the State, I do not feel inclined to grant the privilege of bail to the petitioner. His prayer for bail is, therefore, rejected.
However, petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after framing of charge.
