The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 307, 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 332, 333, 337, 338, 353 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, on a secret information having been received, the police arrested an accused Chandan Kewat. It is stated that, thereafter, the members of his family as also large number of other persons surrounded the police, started to assault them and facilitated his escape. A number of police personnel were injured.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case. The

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32022 of 2021(2) dt.23-12-2021 2/2 allegations are general and omnibus in nature. The alleged injuries on the body of the police personnel are all simple in nature. The petitioner is in custody since 17.1.2021. Chargesheet has been submitted in the case.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case together with the petitioner having remained in custody for over 11 months, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Islampur P.S. Case no. 41 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Hilsa, Nalanda.
