JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 27-08-2019 Learned counsel for the Life Insurance Corporation of India (hereinafter referred to as the 'Corporation') has informed this Court at the outset that the claim of the petitioner has been settled and sum of Rs. 1,14,,256/- has been transferred in the account of the petitioner on 14.08.2019.

On query raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner as to payment of interest on the sum assured which became due to the petitioner by virtue of the death of her husband on 15.11.2016, learned counsel for the Corporation submits that interest has also been provided to the petitioner while calculating the total payable amount.

Patna High Court CWJC No.7871 of 2019(2) dt.27-08-2019 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the aforesaid circumstance, this writ application may be disposed of with a direction to the Corporation to make available the calculation chart to the petitioner so that she can understand the accounting in which calculations have been made and interest has been paid to her as also in case the petitioner will have any grievance with respect to the rate of interest or the period for which the interest has been paid, she may be allowed to agitate her claim to that extent. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Corporation, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the Branch Manager, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Motihari Branch, East Chamaparan (respondent no.

5) to make available complete calculation chart to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. The petitioner will be at liberty to raise her grievance, if any, with respect to the rate of interest allowed to her and the period for which it has been allowed.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ application stands disposed of.
