The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offence punishable under Section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with K. Nagar (Srinagar) P.S. Case No.269 of 2017.

The report of the learned trial Judge dated 08.03.2019 would reveal that most of the prosecution witnesses have already been examined in the case and the trial is likely to be concluded within next six months.

Allegation against the petitioner is of commission of murder by repeatedly assaulting with spade to Laxman Mahto. The petitioner is in custody since 04.06.2017.
