The only prayer of the petitioner in this writ petition is that the Provident Fund Officer, Gaya be directed to get the provident fund account of the petitioner updated.

Patna High Court CWJC No.6948 of 2019(2) dt.26-04-2019 2/3 It has been submitted that a direction was given by the Assistant Director of the Provident Fund Directorate, Patna to the District Provident Fund Officer, Gaya to update the account of the petitioner and issue necessary account statement, which would be reflective of the updation of the provident fund account.

There does not appear to be any difficulty in allowing such a prayer of the petitioner by directing the District Provident Fund Officer, Gaya to do the needful. However, there is no specific statement in the writ petition that the provident fund account has not yet been updated with interest and no account statement has been issued. In such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation before the Provident Fund Officer, Gaya within a period of two weeks along with a copy of this order, who, on receipt of the same, shall simultaneously dispose off such representation and update the provident fund account and issue account statement within a further period of four weeks thereafter, if it has not been updated as yet.
