The petitioner, who is in custody since 07.11.2015 in Samastipur Rail P.S. Case No.69/15, corresponding to N.D.P.S. Case no.01/16, registered for the offence under Sections 401,414/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 20/22 of the N.D.P.S. Act, has prayed for grant of bail.
It was submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was falsely implicated in this case and he was remanded in other cases also. On the aforesaid ground, a prayer has been made for grant of bail.
However, considering the nature of accusation that

No.48149 of 2016 (2) dt.20-12-2016 2/2 the petitioner was apprehended on a train from whose possession, psychotropic substance was recovered as well as the fact that the petitioner is accused in other similar cases relating to administering poison to the passengers, there is no reason to extend the privilege of bail. The petition stands dismissed. However, since the petitioner is in custody since 07.11.2015, while dismissing the present petition, it is desirable to observe that the court below may take appropriate steps, so that the case may come to its logical end without unnecessary delay.
