The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That this writ of mandamus is upon respondent authorities for a direction that promotion under Modified Assured career Progression which is due to the petitioner after completion of 30 years of service may be given."

At the outset, it is fairly submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the grievance of the petitioner has stood redressed during the interregnum period, hence, the petitioner does not wish to press the writ petition.
