2.The instant application for anticipatory bail has been filed by the petitioners apprehending their arrest in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 170 of 2025 instituted for the offence under Sections 80(2) and 3(5) of B.N.S.

3. The case of the prosecution is that Gita Devi (deceased) was married to one Santosh Kumar Mehta in the year 2020. It is further alleged that she was being subjected to cruelty on account of non-fulfillment of dowry demand of Rs. 2 lakhs and golden chain by her in-laws. On 08.05.2025, the petitioner informed the informant that his daughter has died due to illness.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.23623 of 2026(2) dt.08-05-2026 2/3 When he went to the matrimonial house of the deceased, he saw that there was black mark on the neck of the deceased.

4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners has submitted that petitioners are innocent and have committed no offence. They have falsely been implicated in this case. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that after investigation, the police has filed final form against the petitioners who are brother-in-law and sister-in-law of the deceased whereas learned trial Court has taken cognizance against them. It has further been submitted that husband of the deceased has already been granted bail by this Court vide Cr. Misc. No. 82121 of 2025. Petitioners are having no criminal antecedent.

5. Learned APP appearing for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer of bail of the petitioners.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and in the facts and circumstances of the case as stated above, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. The petitioners are directed to surrender in the Court below within a period of four weeks from today and in the event of their arrest or surrender in connection with Muffsail P.S. Case No. 170 of 2025, they will be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of
