The petitioner is in custody in connection with Special Case No. 111 of 2020, arising out of Purnea Sadar P.S. Case No. 86 of 2020, for the offence under Sections 272, 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 29.02.2020. He further submits that in the instant case total 3508 litres of foreign liquor was seized from a truck. He further submits that the petitioner is the driver of the truck and he has no knowledge about the fact that the liquor was loaded on the truck.

Case No. 86 of 2020.
