This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Khagaria (Mufassil) P.S. Case No. 650 of 2019 registered for the offence punishable under Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The petitioner is in custody since 20.08.2019. The First Information Report has been registered on the basis of statement of police personnel. It is alleged that petitioner and Md. Belal were carrying cough syrup in a motorcycle when they were intercepted by the police. In course of that, allegedly, the petitioner, who was driving the motorcycle, pushed the police personnel, because of which he sustained injuries. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that Md. Belal has been allowed regular bail by this Court by an order dated 21.12.2019 passed in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20982 of 2020(2) dt.25-06-2020 2/2 Cr.Misc. No.74293 of 2019.

Considering the above submission and the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 20.08.2019, this application is allowed.

Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Judge, Excise, Khagaria, in Khagaria P.S.
