1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That this is an application for issuance of an appropriate direction to the respondents for disclosing about vacant posts which are remaining to be filed up as per the Advertisement No.10/2013."
2. At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the
Patna High Court CWJC No.15304 of 2015(2) dt.01-09-2023 2/2 respondent-Staff Selection Commission, Government of Bihar, Patna submits that the petitioners had failed to obtain rank in the merit list, inasmuch as against the total vacancy of 236 posts in the General category, the petitioners no.1 and 2 were ranked much below. It is further submitted that as far as the petitioners no.1 and 2 are concerned, they were ranked at Sl. No. 1173 and 1022, respectively in the merit list, hence could not be selected. As far as the petition no.3, who is a BC category candidate, is concerned, he has obtained 310th position in the merit list against the total vacancy of 102 in his category. Thus, it is submitted that since the petitioners could not obtain the merit rank for the purposes of selection, they have not been selected.
3. The aforesaid stand of the respondents is not refuted by the petitioner, hence I do not find any merit in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed.
