JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 26-10-2016 Petitioner, being the husband of the sister of the informant, is languishing in custody since 31.7.2016 in a case registered for the offences under Sections 498a, 341, 342, 323, 504 and 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case is of torture for non-fulfillment of the dowry demand.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner admits his marriage with the informant's sister and the accusation of inflicting torture is absolutely false. The impugned order reflects that the Sessions Judge tried to reconcile the issue but the petitioner declined to accept the offer of the informant's sister of resuming the conjugal life.
