No one appears for the respondents.

The petitioner in the present case is seeking a writ in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground.

It is the case of the petitioner that his father Shankar Mahto was working as a Constable/Jalvahak bearing Force No. 913188219 in the 63 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force,

Patna High Court CWJC No.5684 of 2023(2) dt.10-05-2023 2/2 Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, he died in harness on 12.06.2016 whereafter the petitioner has filed an application in the year 2018 to the office of the respondents seeking appointment on compassionate ground.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court towards the communication as contained in Annexures '2', '3' and '4' to the writ application from which it appears that the application submitted by the petitioner has been forwarded to the competent authority for further action. In the given facts and circumstances of the case without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, this Court directs the competent authority to look into the grievance of the petitioner, examine the same and take appropriate decision within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
