The petitioners are in custody in connection with Choutarwa P.S. Case No. 183 of 2018 for the offence under Sections 20/22/24 and 25 of the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner have no criminal antecedent. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that petitioner no.2 was driving the motorcycle and petitioner no.1 was sitting on the rear seat of the said Hero Honda Splendor Plus Motorcycle and from that motorcycle two bags containing 34 KG of Ganja was seized.

Considering the fact that the petitioners have no criminal antecedent and they have remained in custody for more than seven months, the Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Let, the petitioners named above, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, West Champaran, Bettiah in connection with Choutarwa P.S.
