For the Petitioner/s : None For the Respondent/s : None =========================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 23-05-2017 This contempt application has been filed inter alia contending that certain interlocutory orders passed in CWJC No.8568 of 1995 in the matter of maintaining status quo with regard to possession of the petitioner on the disputed land and property have been violated and, therefore, the respondent has committed contempt. Records indicate that CWJC no.8568 of 1995 which was shown to be pending has been disposed of by this Court on 16.07.2015 and this case after it was filed on 22nd November, 2000 was listed only for one day on 17.10.2003 and thereafter it is posted today for hearing.

Now after such a long period of time, it is not appropriate to initiate any action for contempt instead if the petitioner has any grievance still subsisting after disposal of the main writ

Patna High Court MJC No.3661 of 2000 dt.23-05-2017 2/2 petition, liberty shall be available to the petitioner to challenge the action afresh in accordance with law.
