The petitioner is in custody in connection with Turkauliya P.S. Case No. 554 of 2019, for the offence under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the instant case total 371.52 litres of foreign liquor was seized from the thatched fodder house which does not belong to the petitioner and he is in custody since 15.01.2020. Considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 15.01.2020, the Court is inclined to grant bail to him. The petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on

No.21102 of 2020(2) dt.29-06-2020 2/2 furnishing bail bonds of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional Sessions Judge 9th cum Special Judge, Excise Act, East Champaran at Motihari in connection with Turkauliya P.S. Case No. 554 of 2019, subject to the condition that on release, the petitioner shall render his service as volunteer in the District Health Centre for a period of one month in dedicated Covid hospital. He is required to report the District Nodal Officer in the concerned region who shall utilise the service of the petitioner appropriately.
