2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Dumra P.S. Case No. 409 of 2024 registered for the offence under Sections 80 and 3(5) of the BNS.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is the husband of the deceased and he is alleged to have tortured and killed his wife.

4. The petitioner is in custody since 23.10.2024.

5. The marriage of the petitioner and the deceased was solemnized on 26.5.2023.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

8. The informant is directed to co-operate in the trial of the case and it is made clear that if the prosecution delays the trial of the petitioner then the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
