The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Barahara P.S. Case No.337 of 2016 registered under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code besides Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The accusation is of torturing the informant by her husband (petitioner) due to non fulfillment of the dowry demand. Submission on behalf of the petitioner is that the petitioner, who is the husband of the informant, has falsely been implicated in this case on mere suspicion and is in custody since 17.11.2016.

Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.1493 of 2017 (2) dt.17-01-2017 2/2 case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara, in connection with, Barahara P.S. Case No.337 of 2016.
