====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 24-02-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Baikunthpur P.S. Case No. 255 of 2020, registered for the offence punishable under Section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Gopalganj.

Considering the allegation that the petitioners have assaulted on the head of the father of informant by means of Farsa, which took his life. The allegation is corroborated by the finding of the Doctor in the Postmortem Report. The informant is the eye-witness of the occurrence, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail, at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.31894 of 2021(4) dt.24-02-2022 2/2 grant of regular bail is rejected.

However, the learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously, well within a period of nine months. If no substantial progress takes place in trial, the petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail after nine month.
